APPOINT JILL VAN HULLE AS AN ALTERNATE ON THE LEWIS COUNTY WATER CONSERVANCY BOARD
WHEREAS, the state Legislature in 1997 authorized counties to establish water conservancy boards (RCW 90.80) to enable the processing of water-right transfer applications at the local level with members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC); and
WHEREAS, Matt Brock of Onalaska has stepped down from the Water Conservancy Board, creating a vacancy; and
WHEREAS, Jill Van Hulle of Olympia has expressed a desire to be appointed as an Alternate on the Water Conservancy Board and has demonstrated she has the necessary experience and education to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a Water Conservancy Board member; and

WHEREAS, it is in the best public interest to appoint qualified members to the Water Conservancy Board.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC hereby appoints Jill Van Hulle as an Alternate on the Lewis County Water Conservancy Board to complete Matt Brock's unexpired six-year term ending August 1, 2023.
