WHEREAS, there is an identified need to provide an area in the Jail intake (booking) area to isolate incoming persons until certain medical evaluations can be performed to ensure that the safety of all persons within the Jail can be maintained; and

WHEREAS, this area needs to provide isolation from the building systems such as HVAC and other utilities as well as physical separation; and

WHEREAS, plans and specifications were developed to provide such as space and a Request for Bids was issued and the responses were as follows:

Rognlins, Inc from Aberdeen, WA                           $332,000.00

Schwiesow Construction from Centralia, WA          $428,700.00

JA Morris Construction from Olympia, WA              $549,225.00

NW Legacy Contractors, LLC from Vancouver, WA  $395,220.00; and

WHEREAS, Rognlins Inc. provided the lowest responsive bid of $332,000.00.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the Jail Isolation Cells Project be awarded to Rognlins Inc. of Aberdeen, Wash; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief of Internal Services be authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners.
