Summary:

The Lewis County Public Works Fleet Division has determined that one aerial lift truck in the fleet is in need of replacement.  This truck was scheduled, budgeted, and approved for replacement in 2020.  Terex Utilities offers an aerial lift truck through the current Sourcewell contract (#012418-TER) that would meet our needs.  The new 2020 aerial lift truck will be purchased with ER&R funds.

Resolution

WHEREAS, in accordance with RCW 39.34, Lewis County has entered into a Master Contract Usage Agreement with Sourcewell that allows purchasing a variety of products and services, including vehicles and equipment, at a significantly lower rate; and

WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Division of the Lewis County Public Works Department has determined that one aerial lift truck in the Public Works fleet is in need of replacement; and

WHEREAS, this aerial lift truck was scheduled, budgeted and approved for purchase in 2020; and

WHEREAS, Sourcewell has selected Terex Utilities as a supplier for aerial lift trucks in our region and we needed to take advantage of the offer in order to secure availability; and

WHEREAS, the County Engineer had opportunity to review the agreement reached with Terex Utilities for the purchase of one new aerial lift truck in the amount of $211,335.50, which will be purchased with ER&R funds, and recommends ratification.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the purchase of one new aerial lift truck for a total amount of $211,335.50 from Terex Utilities previously executed by the Fleet Services Manager is hereby ratified by the Board of County Commissioners.
