Summary:

A call for bid was issued by the BOCC on August 17, 2020 by resolution No. 20-278 for the purchase of five pickup trucks and one truck chassis. The proposal was advertised in the Chronicle and the Lewis County website. Public Works received four responsive bids for the pickups and truck chassis on September 1, 2020. I-5 Dodge submitted the lowest responsive bid for the two wheel drive and four wheel drive pickups, and the truck chassis.

Resolution

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 20-278, a call for bids was issued on August 17, 2020, for the purchase of five pickup trucks and one truck chassis; and

WHEREAS, bid quotations have been submitted by contractors as follows:

I-5 Dodge ----- $23,477.50  (one 2-wheel drive pickup)

I-5 Dodge ----- $107,042.84  (four 4x4 pickups)

I-5 Dodge ----- $35,846.50  (one truck chassis); and

WHEREAS, I-5 Dodge provided the lowest responsive bid quote for five pickup trucks and one truck chassis.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that a contract for the purchase of five new pickup trucks and one truck chassis shall be awarded to I-5 Dodge of Chehalis, Washington, in the amount of $166,366.84. Upon presentation of a contract acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), the Director of Public Works (or his designee) is authorized to sign on behalf of the BOCC.
