Resolution

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) adopted, on January 1, 2020, by Resolution 19-351, a Schedule of Fees for the Lewis County Code Titles 8, 12, 15, 16, 17, and 18 to consolidate all fees and assessments for the departments of Community Development, Public Works and Health & Social Services for permits and approvals within such Schedule of Fees; and

WHEREAS, said Schedule of Fees was established by the BOCC for ease of use by the public and to provide a single format for fees associated with user and permitting fees, and to expeditiously allow for changes in fees at the request of the above-named County departments; and

WHEREAS, the Board regularly reviews and may amend its Schedule of Fees for its various departments to reflect increased administrative and other costs of providing certain County services and permits; and

WHEREAS, the Public Works Department recognized a need to update the 2002 Road Atlas and has produced a new 2020 Road Atlas, incurring new costs to do so; and

WHEREAS, the Public Works Department also recognized the need to add fees for the Lewis County Airports; and

WHEREAS, the BOCC has decided to amend the existing Schedule of Fees, Category D, adopted January 1, 2020, by Resolution 19-351, incorporating departmental recommendations reflecting the true cost of $25.00 to produce the 2020 Road Atlas and to add airport fees for the Lewis County Airports.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the BOCC that the Schedule of Fees, Category D, be amended to remove the 2002 Road Atlas, add the 2020 Road Atlas with a fee of $25.00, and add fees for the Lewis County Airports, to be effective upon approval; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the BOCC that if any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of this Resolution is for any reason held to be unconstitutional or invalid at law, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Resolution.
