Summary:A call for bids for the Tucker Road Improvements Project, Federal Aid Project No. STPR-F212(001), F.A. Agreement No. TA-6968, County Road Project No. 2189-C was made on July 27, 2020. The project was advertised in the Chronicle, the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce, and Lewis County's website. Public Works received two bids for this project on August 18, 2020. Granite Construction Company provided the lowest responsive bid of $511,170.00. The engineer's estimate was $767,700. Public Works recommends awarding this project to the lowest responsive bidder, Granite Construction Company. WSDOT has reviewed and concurs with this recommendation.

LISTING OF BIDS AND CONTRACTOR SELECTED FOR THE TUCKER ROAD IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT, FEDERAL AID PROJECT NO. STPR-F212(001), F.A. AGREEMENT NO. TA-6968, COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 2189-C
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution 20-254, a call for bids was issued July 27, 2020, for the Tucker Road Improvements Project, Federal Aid Project No. STPR-F212(001), F.A. Agreement No. TA-6968, County Road Project No. 2189-C; and
WHEREAS, bid quotations have been submitted from the contractors as follows

WHEREAS, Granite Construction Company provided the lowest responsive bid quote of $511,170.00 for the Tucker Road Improvements Project, Federal Aid Project No. STPR-F212(001), F.A. Agreement No. TA-6968, County Road Project No. 2189-C.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the Tucker Road Improvements Project, Federal Aid Project No. STPR-F212(001), F.A. Agreement No. TA-6968, County Road Project No. 2189-C shall be awarded to Granite Construction Company in the amount of $511,170.00 upon the execution of a contract acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Upon presentation of such a contract, the County Engineer is authorized to sign on behalf of the BOCC.
