Resolution
RE-APPOINTMENT OF FOUR MEMBERS AND APPOINTMENT OF TWO NEW MEMBERS TO THE LEWIS COUNTY SOLID WASTE ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND SETTING TERMS THEREOF
WHEREAS, RCW70.95 provides for the Board of County Commissioners (the "Board") to appoint a Committee to advise the Board on solid waste matters; and
WHEREAS, the terms of three members of the current Lewis County Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) expired on June 1, 2020, and they have indicated a desire to continue to serve on this committee; and
WHEREAS, two newly elected officials from the cities of Centralia and Chehalis have expressed a desire to be members of the Solid Waste Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Board wishes to re-appoint these members and appoint two new members.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the following individuals are each hereby re-appointed to the SWAC representing the interests of and for one term to end June 1, 2023: Don Bradshaw, citizen/Winlock area; Peppy Elizaga, business/industry, Hampton Lumber Mills, Morton; Samantha Fleischner, organics waste recycling industry, Silver Springs Organics; and the following individuals are hereby newly appointed to the SWAC, representing the interests of and for one term to end June 1, 2023: Jerry Lord, elected official, City of Chehalis; and Max Vogt, elected official, City of Centralia.
