Summary:

A call for bid was issued by the BOCC on March 9, 2020 by resolution No. 20-079 and 20-080 for the purchase of one passenger van and three SUV vehicles.  The proposal was advertised in the Chronicle and the Lewis County website.  Public Works received three responsive bids for the passenger van, and four responsive bids for the compact SUV on March 24, 2020.  Awesome Ford submitted the lowest responsive bid for the passenger van, and I-5 Dodge submitted the lowest responsive bid for the compact SUV.

Resolution

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 20-079 and 20-080, a call for bids was issued on March 9, 2020 for the purchase of one passenger van and three SUV vehicles; and

WHEREAS, bid quotations have been submitted by Contractors as follows:

Awesome Ford ----- $26,277.75  (one passenger van)

I-5 Dodge ---------- $74,695.74  (three compact SUV's)

 ; and

WHEREAS, Awesome Ford provided the lowest responsive bid quote for one passenger van and I-5 Dodge submitted the lowest responsive bid for three compact SUV's.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that a contract for the purchase of one new passenger van shall be awarded to Awesome Ford in the amount of $26,277.75 and three new compact SUV's shall be awarded to I-5 Dodge in Chehalis, Washington in the amount of $74,695.74.  Upon presentation of a contract acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners, the Director of Public Works (or his designee) is authorized to sign on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners..
