Resolution

WHEREAS, COVID-19, a respiratory disease that can result in serious illness or death, is a new strain of Coronavirus that had not been previously identified in humans and can easily spread from person to person; and

WHEREAS, funding is available through Department of Commerce Cares Act funding to provide social distancing for COVID operations taking place at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds during the COVID-19 pandemic; and

WHEREAS, Lewis County has requested bids from the Small Works Roster for provision of such materials and labor deemed necessary to meet the requirements, scope and specifications of a project to remodel the Blue Restrooms at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that CV Construction of Centralia, Washington, be awarded a contract for $147,909.40, including tax, to provide labor and materials as per the contract to remodel the Blue Restrooms at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief of Internal Services be authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners.
