Summary:

A call for bids for the Mickelsen Parkway Project, CRP 2121 was made on June 8, 2020. The project was advertised in the Chronicle, the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce, and Lewis County's website. Public Works received 9 bids for this project June 30, 2020. Midway Underground provided the lowest responsive bid of $2,340,928.86. The engineer's estimate was $3,301,895.42. Public Works staff recommends acceptance of the low bid provided by Midway Underground.

WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution 20-187, a call for bids was issued June 8, 2020, for the Mickelsen Parkway Project, CMP 1509; and

WHEREAS, bid quotations have been submitted from the contractors as follows:

WHEREAS, Midway Underground provided the lowest responsive bid quote of $2,340,928.86 for the Mickelsen Parkway Project, CRP 2121.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the Mickelsen Parkway Project, CRP 2121 shall be awarded to Midway Underground in the amount of $2,340.928.86 upon execution of a contract acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Upon presentation of such a contract the County Engineer is authorized to sign on behalf of the BOCC.
