Resolution
APPROVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN LEWIS COUNTY AND THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THE MCKINNEY TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $161,439
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), Lewis County, Washington, has reviewed the agreement to provide transitional housing to homeless families between Lewis County and HUD; and
WHEREAS, funding in the amount of $161,439 is available from HUD for the period of May 1, 2020, through April 30, 2021; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of said contract.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract between Lewis County and HUD to provide funds for the McKinney Transitional Housing Program in the amount of $161,439 from May 1, 2020, through April 30, 2021, is hereby approved and the Director of Public Health & Social Services is authorized to sign the same.
