Resolution
APPROVE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN CIELO AND LEWIS COUNTY TO PROVIDE SERVICES THROUGH CARES ACT FUNDING
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), Lewis County, Washington, has reviewed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Lewis County and CIELO for the period of June 1, 2020, through October 15, 2020; and
WHEREAS, funding is available to provide Spanish-speaking case management and outreach educational services around COVID-19 to residents of Lewis County who have an unmet need, in part due to language and cultural barriers in the amount of $100,000 through the CARES Act funds; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of said contract for Lewis County.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that MOU between CIELO and Lewis County in the amount of $100,000 from June 1, 2020, through October 15, 2020, is hereby approved and the Director of Public Health & Social Services is authorized to sign the same.
