A call for bids for the King Road Culvert Replacement Project, CMP 1509 was made on May 11, 2020. The project was advertised in the Chronicle, the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce, and Lewis County's website. Public Works received 6 bids for this project June 2, 2020. Brad Davis Construction provided the lowest responsive bid of $424,338.25. The engineer's estimate was $456,267.50. Public Works staff recommends acceptance of the low bid provided by Brad Davis Construction.

WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution 20-150, a call for bids was issued May 11, 2020, for the King Rd. Culvert Replacement Project, CMP 1509; and

WHEREAS, bid quotations have been submitted from the contractors as follows:

WHEREAS, Brad Davis Construction provided the lowest responsive bid quote of $424,338.25 for the King Rd. Culvert Replacement Project, CMP 1509.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the King Rd. Culvert Replacement Project, CMP 1509 shall be awarded to Brad Davis Construction in the amount of $424,338.25 upon execution of a contract acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Upon presentation of such a contract the County Engineer is authorized to sign on behalf of the BOCC.
