Summary:A Notice to Contractors requesting bids for the Meade Hill MP 0.64 Guardrail Project, CRP 2190A was sent to the contractors listed on the Guardrail Installation and Repair category of the Small Works Roster on May 8, 2020. The project was also advertised on the Lewis County's website. Public Works received four bids for the project on May 19, 2020. Petersen Brothers, Inc. provided the lowest responsive bid of $87,066.00; the engineer's estimate was $108,625.00. This guardrail project is included in the 2020 Six Year Transportation Improvement Program. The resolution will ratify the Public Works Director's approval of the contract award to Petersen Brothers, Inc. in the amount of $87,066.00.

RATIFICATION OF THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE MEADE HILL MP 0.64 GUARDRAIL PROJECT, CRP 2190A FROM THE SMALL WORKS ROSTER
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 09-226, a call for bids was issued to the contractors listed in the Guardrail and Installation category of the Small Works Roster for the Meade Hill MP 0.64 Guardrail Project, CRP 2190A; and
WHEREAS, the project was listed in the 2020 Six Year Transportation Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, bid quotations have been submitted from the contractors as follows:

WHEREAS, Petersen Brothers Inc. provided the lowest responsive bid quote of $87,066.00 for the Meade Hill MP 0.64 Guardrail Project, CRP 2190A; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director awarded the contract to Petersen Brothers Inc. upon the recommendation of the County Engineer and staff.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) hereby ratifies the contract award for the Meade Hill MP 0.64 Guardrail Project, CRP 2190A to the lowest responsive bidder, Petersen Brothers Inc. in the amount of $87,066.00.
