Summary:

Lewis County plans to replace a culvert on Jackson Highway South at milepost 2.108 It will be necessary to close Jackson Highway South to all through traffic during this period. Jackson Highway South will remain open for local access from either end up to, but not beyond, the point of closure. This resolution would, pursuant to RCW 47.48.010 and .020, close Jackson Highway South beginning at the Lone Yew Road intersection to Walker Road intersection in Section 19, Township 11 North, Range 1 West, W.M. Beginning June 8, 2020 and ending August 28, 2020.

Resolution

WHEREAS, RCW 47.48.010 gives authority to the county legislative authority to close roads for a period of time; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary for Lewis County to replace a culvert on Jackson Highway South at milepost 2.108; and

WHEREAS, it will be necessary to close Jackson Highway South beginning at the Lone Yew Road intersection to the Walker Road intersection, to all through traffic during the period of such project work; and

WHEREAS, Jackson Highway South will remain open for local access from either end up to, but not beyond, the point of closure and other county roads are available for detour.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that, pursuant to RCW 47.48.010 and .020, beginning June 8, 2020, and ending August 28, 2020, Jackson Highway South beginning at the Lone Yew Road intersection to Walker Road intersection in Section 19, Township 11 North, Range 1 West, W.M., shall be closed to all through traffic.
