Summary:

a call for bids for the 2020 Countywide Base Stabilization Project, CRP 2189A was made on April 20, 2020. The project was advertised in the Chronicle, the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce, and Lewis County's website. Public Works received two bids for this project May 5, 2020. Ground Up Construction, Inc. provided the lowest responsive bid  of $70,300.23. The engineer's estimate was $84,580.21. Public Works staff recommends acceptance of the low bid provided by Ground Up Road Construction, Inc.

Resolution

WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution no. 20-130, a call for bids was issued April 20, 2020, for the 2020 Base Stabilization Project, CRP 2189A; and

WHEREAS, bid quotations have been submitted from the contractors as follows:

WHEREAS, Ground Up Construction provided the lowest responsive bid quote of $70,300.23 for the 2020 Countywide Base Stabilization Project, CRP 2189A.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the 2020 Countywide Base Stabilization Project, CRP 2189A shall be awarded to Ground Up Construction, Inc. in the amount of $70,300.23 upon the execution of a contract acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Upon presentation of such a contract, the County Engineer is authorized to sign on behalf of the BOCC.
