Resolution

WHEREAS, Lewis County, Washington, desires to support public safety and emergency communications through the use of wireless communication facilities; and

WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has entered into a Wireless Communication Site Lease with Lewis County for the installation, operation and maintenance of wireless communications equipment at the Chehalis Area 2 Headquarters, located at 1411 Rush Road in Chehalis (parcel No. 017906002000); and

WHEREAS, the lease establishes an initial term of five (5) years, with provisions for renewal, and provides for reciprocal site use without monetary rent; and

WHEREAS, the lease agreement between the Washington State Department of Transportation and Lewis County 911 for use of the designated site and tower has been previously reviewed and approved by the Lewis County 911 Executive Board.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approves the Wireless Communication Site Lease, Lease No. WF-04-14690, with the Washington State Department of Transportation.
