Resolution

WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Division of the Lewis County Public Works Department has determined that six pursuit-rated vehicles in the fleet are in need of replacement; and

WHEREAS, these pursuit-rated vehicles will be 2027 replacements for the Lewis County Sheriff's Office; and

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) wishes to issue a call for bid for one or more pursuit-rated SUVs and one or more 4-wheel drive pickup trucks.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Public Works Department is instructed to prepare a call for bid specifications for one or more pursuit-rated SUVs and one or more 4-wheel-drive pickup trucks.

Bids can be completed and submitted (1) online at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/lewiscountywa by 12:15 p.m. Nov. 4, 2026; or (2) sealed bids may be delivered to the Lewis County Commissioners' Office (Lewis County Historic Courthouse, 2nd Floor, 351 NW North Street, Chehalis, WA 98532) by 12:15 p.m. Nov. 4, 2026, in an envelope clearly marked "sealed bid for one or more new pursuit-rated SUV vehicles or one or more 4-wheel drive pickups."

All bids will be opened at or after 12:15 p.m. Nov. 4, 2026; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Clerk of the Board is hereby instructed to proceed with all appropriate and necessary notifications for said purpose.
