Resolution

WHEREAS, Lewis County Code 12.20 and RCW 36.55 require that all utility installations in Lewis County road rights of way be authorized by a franchise from Lewis County; and

WHEREAS, an application for a franchise renewal has been received by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) from Rene and Jeannette Remund to install, construct, operate and maintain water facilities within the road rights of way of unincorporated Lewis County; and

WHEREAS, a hearing was set for September 22, 2026, via Resolution No. 26-381, dated September 1, 2026, and all required notices were given to the public, and the BOCC conducted the hearing on September 22, 2026.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the BOCC hereby approves the resolution to grant a franchise renewal to Rene and Jeannette Remund for the installation, construction, operation and maintenance of water facilities within the road rights of way of unincorporated Lewis County; approves the attached nonexclusive franchise agreement; and authorizes the BOCC to sign the agreement.
