AWARD CONTRACT FOR SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON FAIRGROUNDS FRIENDLYVILLE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
WHEREAS, Lewis County is upgrading the Friendlyville area of the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds to address longstanding issues with uneven terrain and poor accessibility; and
WHEREAS, the work is intended to transform the area into a safer, more accessible, and more functional destination through regrading, ADA-compliant pathways, and improved gate and circulation layout, creating better access to attractions; and
WHEREAS, Lewis County issued a call for bids for the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds Friendlyville Improvements, Project #31-2607b, via Resolution 26-177; and
WHEREAS, Lewis County received the following seven bids before the 2 p.m. May 26, 2026, submission deadline:

WHEREAS, Taycon was the apparent low bidder with a proposal totaling $139,500, plus tax.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) hereby awards the contract for the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds Friendlyville Improvements and Repaving Project, Project #31-2607, to Taycon LLC in the amount of $139,500.00 plus tax.
The Capital Infrastructure Specialist is authorized to sign the contract, attached hereto as Exhibit A, on behalf of the BOCC.
