Summary:

The Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, Developmental Disabilities Administration contracts with Lewis County to oversee the administration of grant money for services provided to individuals with developmental disabilities who reside in Lewis County. In addition to incoming grant funding, Lewis County oversees the administration of local tax monies that are set aside to support individuals with developmental disabilities.

This subcontract provides funding for Morningside to provide Supported Employment and Job Foundation services.

Resolution

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has reviewed contract #M01-0277-26 between Morningside and Lewis County; and

WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) contracts with Lewis County to administer grant funding for services provided to individuals with developmental disabilities residing in Lewis County; and

WHEREAS, Lewis County also administers local tax revenues designated to support services for individuals with developmental disabilities; and

WHEREAS, this subcontract provides funding for Morningside to provide Supported Employment and Job Foundation services; and

WHEREAS, the contract duration is July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027; and

WHEREAS, the total maximum consideration shall not exceed $561,000; and

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of said contract.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC hereby approves contract #M01-0277-26 with Morningside, with a maximum consideration of $561,000, for the term of July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, funded through the Developmental Disabilities Administration and designated local tax revenues. Upon approval and presentation of the contract, the Director of Public Health & Social Services is authorized to sign the contract, attached hereto as Exhibit A, on behalf of the BOCC.
