Resolution

WHEREAS, RCW 67.28.1817 states that a municipality with a population of 5,000 (five thousand) or more should establish a Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC); and

WHEREAS, the committee must include an equal number of individuals who represent businesses required to collect tax under this chapter (“providers”) and individuals involved in activities authorized to be funded by lodging tax revenue (“users”); and

WHEREAS, Fire Mountain Arts Council representative Jessica Scogin, who was appointed to a "user" position via Resolution 26-055, has stepped down, creating a vacancy; and

WHEREAS, Lenee Langdon, who serves on Discover Lewis County, a program of the Economic Alliance of Lewis County, has indicated a willingness to serve on the committee.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC hereby appoints Lenee Langdon to the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee, effective immediately, to fill the remainder of Jessica Scogin's unexpired term, which runs through Dec. 31, 2027.
