Resolution

WHEREAS, Lewis County issued a Request for Proposals for the production of a rodeo performance at the 2026 Southwest Washington Fair on December 1, 2025; and

WHEREAS, proposals for rodeo production services for the 2026 Lewis County Rodeo were publicly opened on January 7, 2026. Two proposals were received:

WHEREAS, a review committee evaluated the proposals based on established criteria, including experience, qualifications, proposed rodeo production, stock quality, event elements and overall value to the Fair and community. Following the evaluation process, Plus 1 Productions received the highest overall score and was recommended for award; and

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the public's best interest to award the contract for professional rodeo production services for the 2026 Lewis County Rodeo to be held during the Southwest Washington Fair to Plus 1 Productions in the amount of $76,500 for a two-day event taking place Aug. 12 and 13, 2026, as outlined in the attached contract.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) hereby approves the rodeo production services contract for the 2026 Lewis County Rodeo with Plus 1 Productions in the amount of $76,500; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the BOCC authorizes the Director of Lewis County Facilities to execute the contract on behalf of Lewis County.
