This resolution will ratify an agreement with WEST Consultants, Inc. for the 2026 Annual Hydrologic, Hydraulic, and Geomorphic (HHG) Services, to include HHG analysis, emergency response, scour investigations and other work in the amount of $350,000.

Resolution

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 25-087, approval from the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is required for all contracts, projects, agreements, grant applications, contract amendments and change orders involving expenditures totaling between $50,000 and $350,000; and

WHEREAS, a Request for Qualifications was published on January 8, 2026, to solicit submittals from consultants with expertise in Hydrologic, Hydraulic, and Geomorphic (HHG) services as County projects are scheduled or as circumstances emerge that require professional HHG services; and

WHEREAS, Lewis County Public Works does not have the required resources to complete this work within the scheduled time; and

WHEREAS, on May 1, 2026, the Director of Public Works approved Agreement Number AHHG2026 with WEST Consultants, Inc. for the 2026 Annual Hydrologic, Hydraulic, and Geomorphic Services, to include HHG analysis, emergency response, scour investigations and other work in the amount of $350,000.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC hereby approves Agreement Number AHHG2026 with WEST Consultants, Inc. for the 2026 Annual Hydrologic, Hydraulic, and Geomorphic Services in the amount of $350,000, funded by the Roads fund, and previously executed by the Public Works Director.
