Resolution

WHEREAS, from time to time, Lewis County has vehicles and equipment that are no longer needed within the County's operations; and

WHEREAS, Lewis County Code, Chapter 3.30, Management and Disposition of Property requires the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) to declare such property surplus prior to disposal under said Code; and

WHEREAS, the listing of property attached as Exhibit A has been recommended as surplus to the County's needs by the Public Works Solid Waste Utility; and

WHEREAS, it would be prudent for the listing of property attached as Exhibit A to go for auction at Ritchie Brother's Auction to the public on May 7 and 8, 2026.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the asset items listed in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein have been declared surplus by the BOCC, and the Public Works Solid Waste Utility is authorized to dispose of the listed items at Ritchie Brother's Auction on or after May 7, 2026, in compliance with Lewis County Code, Chapter 3.30.
