APPOINT JAMES OWEN AND THEODORE GILBERT TO THE EAST LEWIS COUNTY PUBLIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (ELCPDA) BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) created the East Lewis County Public Development Authority (ELCPDA) via Ordinance 1149 on May 20, 1996; and
WHEREAS, Gerry Monkman (Resolution 24-189) has announced his retirement and Dennis Riebe (Resolution 23-136) did not wish to serve beyond the April 1, 2026, expiration of his term, creating two vacancies on the ELCPDA; and
WHEREAS, James Owen and Theodore Gilbert have expressed an interest in serving on the ELCPDA Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 1149 established staggered three-year terms for the members of the Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to appoint the interested parties to the ELCPDA Board of Directors.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the BOCC hereby appoints James Owen and Theodore Gilbert to the ELCPDA Board of Directors, with James Owen filling the remainder of Gerry Monkman's unexpired term and Theodore Gilbert succeeding Dennis Riebe, as follows:
