WHEREAS, in accordance with Ordinances 1367 and 1369, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) established the Short Term Rental Advisory Group via Resolution 25-347 on December 2, 2025; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Lewis County Code (LCC) 2.11.030 and 2.50.050, the Board of County Commissioners has the authority to adopt bylaws governing advisory board operation and retains the authority to amend the bylaws of advisory groups; and

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Planning Commission recommends amendments to the Short-Term Rental Advisory Group (Exhibit B) related to board member composition; and

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has reviewed the proposed amendments and finds that adoption of the amendments is in the best interest of the public health, safety and welfare of Lewis County.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC hereby amends the bylaws for the Lewis County Short Term Rental Advisory Group (STRAG), as set forth in Exhibit A.
