WHEREAS, the terms for two Lewis County Planning Commission members - Lori Spogen (Commissioner District 1) and Robert Russell (District 2) - have expired, creating two vacancies; and

WHEREAS, Nathan Carpenter and Robert Hankins have indicated a willingness to serve on the Lewis County Planning Commission; and

WHEREAS, after reviewing all of the applications -- and after considering the Planning Commission's recommendations (Exhibit A) -- the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) finds it is in the public's best interest to appoint Nathan Carpenter (District 1) and Robert Hankins (District 2) to four-year terms ending on December 31, 2029, on the Lewis County Planning Commission.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Lewis County, Washington, that Nathan Carpenter, District 1, and Robert Hankins, District 2, are appointed to the Lewis County Planning Commission, for terms ending on December 31, 2029.
