Resolution

WHEREAS, the Southwest Washington Fair Advisory Board consists of seven members appointed by the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC); and

WHEREAS, the BOCC established the board via Resolution 08-295 and updated by its bylaws via Resolution 22-042; and

WHEREAS, the terms for appointees Sybil Kuhn (Resolution 21-286), George Dodd (Resolution 21-286) and Edna J. Fund (Resolution 21-427) have expired, and all three have expressed a willingness and desire to continue serving; and

WHEREAS, Resolution 22-042 established staggered, four-year terms for Board members, with the terms for three of the positions expiring together and the terms for the remaining four positions expiring together two years later; and

WHEREAS, the term dates for several of the Board positions must be updated to ensure they follow the guidelines established in Resolution 22-042; and

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the public's best interest to reappoint Sybil Kuhn, George Dodd and Edna J. Fund to the Southwest Washington Fair Advisory Board.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC herby reappoints Sybil Kuhn, George Dodd and Edna J. Fund to the Southwest Washington Fair Advisory Board for terms expiring May 31, 2027; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED following their May 31, 2027, expiration, the terms for those three positions will return to four-year increments.
