Resolution

WHEREAS, Lewis County has a Civil Service Commission as outlined in RCW 41.14; and

WHEREAS, RCW 41.14 prescribes that members serve six-year staggered terms; and

WHEREAS, the unfortunate passing of Donald Clevenger has left a vacancy on the board; and

WHEREAS, Joe Mano has expressed interest in serving the remainder of Donald Clevenger's unexpired term; and

WHEREAS, as a citizen of the United States who is an elector of Lewis County and who is a resident of Lewis County now -- and has been for at least two years immediately preceding this appointment -- Joe Mano meets the statutory requirements for the position; and

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) wishes to appoint Joe Mano to fill the remainder of Donald Clevenger's unexpired term.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC hereby appoints Joe Mano to the Civil Service Commission for the remainder of a term expiring December 31, 2026.
