AWARD CONTRACT TO OLYMPIC ROOFING TO REMOVE AND REPLACE HEALTH BUILDING ROOF
WHEREAS, the Health Building roof was in poor condition due to exceeding its expected lifespan. Also, due to years of combined layering, it must be removed prior to adding additional layers; and
WHEREAS, Lewis County has requested bids via Small Works bid process for provision of such materials and labor necessary to meet the requirements, scope and specifications of said project and received the following bids from:
Olympic Roofing of Federal Way, Wash. $121,650.00
Wright Roofing of Tacoma, Wash. $150,484.00
The Roof Dr. of Chehalis, Wash. $162,500.00
Scholten Roofing Inc of Lynden, Wash. $217,035.00
American Gntd. Roofing Gig Harbor, Wash. $230,558.00
Madsen Roofing Inc. of Lacey, Wash. $253,009.00; and
WHEREAS, the bids have been reviewed by Facilities staff and appear to be responsive and meet the requirements of the project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), that the County awards the contract for the Health Building Roof Replacement Project to Olympic Roofing of Federal Way, Wash; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief of Internal Services is hereby authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the BOCC.
