Resolution

WHEREAS, on December 19, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners approved Resolution 23-403 to authorize the Director of Community Development to sign a contract with Kimley-Horn for completion of the Lewis County Comprehensive Plan; and

WHEREAS, the contract period was through June 30, 2025, based on the Washington State Growth Management Act Periodic Update schedule, however, the schedule was extend by the Legislature to December 31, 2025; and

WHEREAS, work required under the contract is expected to continue through December 31, 2025.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners finds it in the public interest to extend contract GEN-006-2023 between Kimley-Horn and Lewis County until December 31, 2025, retroactive to June 30, 2025, via the attached amendment, which the Community Development Director is authorized to sign on behalf of Lewis County.
