Summary:The Washington State Healthcare Authority (HCA) contracts with Lewis County to oversee the administration of Criminal Justice Treatment Account (CJTA) funds to provide treatment and recovery support services to individuals involved in the criminal justice system in accordance with RCW 71.24.580.
This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) funding agreement between Lewis County Public Health & Social Services and Lewis County Superior Court provides reimbursement-based funding to support the salary and benefits of an Assistant Program Coordinator position overseen by the Lewis County Superior Court.

APPROVE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) BETWEEN LEWIS COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH & SOCIAL SERVICES AND LEWIS COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT
WHEREAS, the Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) contracts with Lewis County Public Health & Social Services to administer Criminal Justice Treatment Account (CJTA) funds; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this MOU is to facilitate Lewis County Public Health & Social Services in making reimbursements to Lewis County Superior Court for the purpose of supporting the salary and benefits of an Assistant Program Coordinator position overseen by the Lewis County Superior Court; and
WHEREAS, the MOU duration is July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027; and
WHEREAS, the total maximum consideration of this MOU is $69,365; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of said MOU.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) hereby approves an MOU between Lewis County Superior Court and Lewis County Public Health & Social Services in the amount of $69,365 for a term of July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2027, funded through CJTA funds. Upon approval and presentation of such an MOU, the Director of Public Health & Social Services is authorized to sign the agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A, on behalf of the BOCC.
