APPROVE CONTRACT #K8531 BETWEEN WASHINGTON STATE HEALTHCARE AUTHORITY AND LEWIS COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has reviewed contract #K8531 between Washington State Healthcare Authority and Lewis County; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Healthcare Authority contracts with Lewis County to oversee the administration of Criminal Justice Treatment Account (CJTA) funds; and
WHEREAS, Lewis County Public Health & Social Services will utilize this funding to support treatment and recovery services for individuals involved in the criminal justice system, in accordance with RCW 71.24.580; and
WHEREAS, the contract duration is July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2027; and
WHEREAS, the total maximum consideration of this contract is $256,330; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of said contract.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) hereby approves contract #K8531 with the Washington State Healthcare Authority in the amount of $256,330 for a term of July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2027, for the purpose of administering Criminal Justice Treatment Account funding. Upon approval and presentation of such a contract, the Director of Public Health & Social Services is authorized to sign the contract, attached hereto as Exhibit A, on behalf of the BOCC.
