APPROVE CONTRACT WITH DR. ALLISON HUNT FOR POSTMORTEM EXAMINATIONS
WHEREAS, postmortem examinations are required to be completed by board-certified forensic pathologists; and
WHEREAS, the Lewis County Coroner's Office does not directly employ forensic pathologists; and
WHEREAS, forensic pathologist Dr. Allison Hunt has agreed to provide post-mortem services for Lewis County pursuant to the terms set forth in the attached contract.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) hereby awards a contract for post mortem services to Dr. Allison Hunt for the term of September 16, 2025, through December 31, 2026, for the following rates:
- Autopsies: $2,500
- Limited examinations: $1,500
- External examinations: $1,250
- Homicides and sudden unexplained infant deaths (SUID): $4,500
- Records consultations: $375 per hour
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Lewis County Coroner Warren McLeod is authorized to sign the contract, attached hereto as Exhibit A, on behalf of Lewis County.
