APPOINT SHAWN KYES AND MARTHA HUNT TO THE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION (BOE)
WHEREAS, RCW 84.48 requires each county in the state to have a Board of Equalization (BOE), which must "consist of not less than three nor no more than seven members including alternates," with members serving three-year terms; and

WHEREAS, the departure of alternate BOE member Tara Lundin and the untimely death of regular BOE member Tom Crowson have left vacancies on the board; and
WHEREAS, Shawn Kyes, who resides in Commissioner District 2, and Martha Hunt, who resides in Commissioner District 1, have expressed interest in serving on the BOE; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public's best interest to fill the BOE vacancies.
