Resolution

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 25-087, approval from the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is required for all contracts, projects, agreement, grant applications, contract amendments and change orders involving expenditures totaling between $50,000 and $350,000; and

WHEREAS, A Request for Qualifications was published on March 19, 2025, to solicit submittals from consultants with expertise in A & E Professional Services - Design and Engineering for design of a water crossing, including hydraulic, hydrologic, and geomorphic analysis; geotechnical analysis; structural analysis; and cultural resources investigation; and

WHEREAS, Lewis County Public Works does not have the required resources to complete this work within the scheduled time; and

WHEREAS, on August 8, 2025, the Director of Public Works approved a Local Agency A & E Professional Services agreement with Exeltech Consulting Inc., a Bowman Company, for professional design and engineering services for design of a water crossing, including hydraulic, hydrologic, and geomorphic analysis; geotechnical analysis; structural analysis; and cultural resources investigation for a maximum amount payable of $234,177.92.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC hereby approves the Consultant Agreement previously executed by the Public Works Director.
