Resolution

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 21-038, Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approval is required for all contracts, projects, agreements, grant applications, contract amendments and change orders involving expenditures totaling between $50,000 and $200,000; and

WHEREAS, the BOCC provided after-the-fact approval of a contract with Plus 1 Productions, not to exceed $48,750, for the production of a rodeo performance at the 2022 Southwest Washington Fair via Resolution 22-246 on August 16, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Section 5 of the contract stated, "The County may, at its sole discretion, renew this Agreement for up to two additional one-year terms by giving written notice to the Rodeo Producer by November 30th of each year for the following year"; and

WHEREAS, per Section 5 of the original contract, the parties agreed to renew for the 2025 season; and

WHEREAS, an addendum was created to extend the contract for Plus 1 Productions to produce a 2025 two-day rodeo at the Southwest Washington Fair taking place August 13 and 14, 2025, increasing the original contract amount ($48,750) by $21,000; and

WHEREAS, the addendum includes the additional insurance coverage as requested by the BOCC, with an associated cost not to exceed $4,600.00, which shall be covered by the County, increasing the contract amount to a total of $74,350.00.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the BOCC hereby approves the $74,350.00 contract with Plus 1 Productions for a two-day 2025 rodeo and ratifies the signature of the Facilities Director or their designee.
