WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approved a Memorandum of Agreement between Lewis County and Washington State University Extension to provide WSU Extension Services to Lewis County residents; and

WHEREAS, county funds in the corrected amount of $135,423.00 have been approved to pay for WSU Extension Services to Lewis County; and

WHEREAS, the agreement covers the following positions:

• County Director
• 4-H Extension Faculty
• Garden Program Coordinator (with half of the full-time position paid for by Lewis County and the other half paid for by Lewis County Department of Public Works Solid Waste Utility)
• Administrative Assistant

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best interest to authorize the execution of said Memorandum of Agreement for Lewis County for 2025.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the aforesaid Memorandum of Agreement is hereby approved and the Chair of the BOCC is authorized to sign the same; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED Solid Waste Fund 4010 will transfer to the WSU Ext. General Fund Dept. 070 an amount equivalent to half of the salary and benefits for the Garden Program Coordinator in the amount of $29,922.
