This resolution will approve a consultant agreement for Structural Engineering Services - Preventative Maintenance, CRP 2199, with David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA) in the amount of $397,823.00 and a Management Reserve Fund of $44,000.00 for a total of $441,823.00.

Resolution

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 24-363, the County Manager and Department Heads must receive BOCC approval via resolution before entering into Agreements exceeding $350,000 or increasing the cumulative total to more than $350,000; and

WHEREAS, Lewis County desires to procure a consultant to provide engineering services for preventative maintenance on Hining Road MP 0.23 - Lewis County Structure ID#: 08444600, Galvin Road MP 1.23 - Lewis County Structure ID#: 08605200, and Galvin Road MP 1.55 - Lewis County Structure ID #: 07984700; and

WHEREAS, Lewis County does not have sufficient staff to meet the required commitment and deems it advisable to engage the assistance of a consultant to provide the necessary services; and

WHEREAS, the Public Works staff has reviewed the agreement and recommends approval of the Consultant Agreement with DEA for engineering services in the amount of $441,823.00.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Board of County Commissioners finds the consultant agreement with David Evans and Associates Inc. for Structural Engineering Services - Preventative Maintenance, CRP 2199, to be in the best interest of Lewis County and authorizes the County Engineer to sign the agreement.
