Resolution
RATIFY A CONTRACT BETWEEN LEWIS COUNTY SOLID WASTE AND PUGET SOUND ENVIRONMENTAL, PLLC, TO SUPPORT THE COUNTY IN COMPLETING THE TASKS NECESSARY TO MEET COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS RECENTLY PROMULGATED BY THE STATE LEGISLATURE TO IMPLEMENT THE LANDFILL-METHANE EMISSION REDUCTION REQUIREMENTS OF 70A.540 RCW AND WAC 173-408
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 24-363, Directors, Administrators, or designee may sign procurement contracts, amendments, and change orders that total or create a cumulative project total of $50,000 to $350,000, provided that the contract or amendment is approved by the BOCC via resolution; and
WHEREAS, Lewis County Solid Waste desires to continue work with Puget Sound Environmental, PLLC. Puget Sound Environmental currently provides engineering and consulting support to Lewis County to maintain compliance with requirements of the Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) in WAC 173-340, Solid Waste Regulations in WAC 173-351 for municipal solid waste landfills, and other applicable regulations; and
WHEREAS, Personal Service Agreement PSEPLLC2025 was entered into between Lewis County Solid Waste, and Puget Sound Environmental, PLLC, in the amount of $347,988.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Personal Services Agreement PSEPLLC2025, previously executed by the County Engineer/Interim Public Works Director, is hereby ratified by the Board of County Commissioners.
