WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) may appoint six representatives to the Lewis-Mason-Thurston Area Agency on Aging (LMTAAA) Advisory Council; and

WHEREAS, Lewis County's representatives can serve up to three consecutive two-year terms on the Advisory Council, and former members are eligible to serve again after a one-year absence; and

WHEREAS, all six of Lewis County's appointments expired on or by Dec. 31, 2024, with two seats left vacant by the departures of Amy Turnbull, who resigned in December 2022, and Elizabeth Hicker, who completed her third and final consecutive two-year term in December 2023; and

WHEREAS, Greg Rohr, Debbie Aust, Tim Wood and Heidi Buswell have expressed interest in continuing to serve on the LMTAAA; and

WHEREAS, Nikki Sparks and Willie Merryman have expressed interest in serving on the LMTAAA; and

WHEREAS, it is in the best public interest to appoint qualified individuals to the LMTAAA Advisory Council.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) hereby reappoints Greg Rohr, Debbie Aust, Tim Wood and Heidi Buswell and appoints Nikki Sparks and Willie Merryman to serve on the LMTAAA Advisory Council, effective immediately, to fill terms as follows:
