ACCEPT GRANT FUNDS FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE EE2024 GRANT TO FUND THE JAIL LED UPGRADE PROJECT
WHEREAS, Lewis County applied for grant funding for the Jail LED Upgrade Project though the Washington State Department of Commerce's Energy Efficiency 2024 Grant Program and was selected to receive $571,200.00 from that request; and
WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approved acceptance of the grant funds via Resolution 24-418 on Nov. 12, 2024; and
WHEREAS, after the county's approval of the grant agreement, Commerce sought changes to the verbiage contained within; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the county's best interest to accept the changes as presented.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Lewis County accepts the grant funding from the Washington State Department of Commerce and ratifies the signature of County Manager Ryan Barrett on the contract, attached hereto as Exhibit A; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the BOCC hereby rescinds and replaces Resolution 24-418 with this resolution.
