Resolution
EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE TO FUND ENGINEERING AND DESIGN FOR THE PROPOSED FAIR EQUESTRIAN FACILITY PROJECT, LOCATED AT 1909 SOUTH GOLD STREET, CENTRALIA, WASHINGTON, 98531
WHEREAS, RCW 36.01.010 allows counties to contract as may be necessary within their administrative powers; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Commerce (Commerce) will provide $199,820 through The Local Community Projects Program to Lewis County to fund pre-design activities related to the Southwest Washington Fair Equestrian Facility project; and
WHEREAS, The county Manager has reviewed Grant Contract No. 25-96647-159 for $199,820; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of the contract with Commerce.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC has approved and authorized the County Manager to sign and execute Contract No. 25-96647-159 according to the scope required under the Commerce Contract.
