Summary:Lewis County Information Technology Services is responsible for the safe and secure storage of County electronic data, including documents, files, media, and other various forms of electronic data.
This data resides on a storage area network server (SAN), which provides centralized and consolidated access to the electronic data for County employees and citizens.
Our current storage area network has reached its useful end of life for support, maintenance, storage capacity, and performance.
Our vendor, Dell Technologies EMC, has chosen to subcontract with Cerium Networks, a local vendor for purchase and implementation of these services.
To summarize, this resolution allows us to upgrade our aging storage area network hardware, that currently houses County electronic data, with new hardware to provide increased capacity, enhanced support service level agreements, and modern features that reduce downtime and increase performance for County users.
