Resolution

WHEREAS, Lewis County originally established a Cash Handling Policy with Resolution 98-464, which was rescinded and replaced by Resolution 11-247; and

WHEREAS, the Cash Handling Policy is established to safeguard public funds while promoting accountability for the collection, receipt and reporting of cash receipts; and

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Finance Committee reviewed and approved the updated Cash Handling Policy at their January 13, 2025, meeting; and

WHEREAS, this resolution is intended to rescind and replace Resolution 11-247.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Lewis County Cash Handling Policy, attached hereto as Exhibit A, is hereby jointly adopted by the Lewis County Commissioners and the Lewis County Finance Committee and shall be effective January 28, 2025.
