Resolution

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) established the Dangerous Animal Designation (DAD) Board via Resolution 18-351 on Nov. 26, 2018, in an effort to enhance public participation in the dangerous animal designation process according to Lewis County Code Chapter 6.05 Animals; and

WHEREAS, one position has been vacant since December 31, 2022, and the terms for the three members of the DAD Board expired December 31, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Patti Angeliz Amos has expressed interest in joining the Board, and members Charles Snipes, Elsista Ridings and April Hoyt have expressed interest in serving additional three-year terms; and

WHEREAS, it is in the public's best interest to appoint four members to the DAD Board.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the BOCC hereby appoints Patti Angeliz Amos as a full-time member to the DAD Board for a three-year term expiring December 31, 2027, reappoints Charles Snipes, Elsista Ridings and April Hoyt for three-year terms expiring December 31, 2027.
