WHEREAS, the Lewis County Auditor imprest checking account was established in the amount of $20,000 by Resolution 95-114 to provide a method for payment of claims that could not be completed through the accounts payable system at that time; and

WHEREAS, the balance in the account was subsequently increased to $40,000 by Resolution 98-30; and

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Auditor has determined there is no longer a need for the imprest account due to efficiencies created by accounts payable process in the Munis ERP system.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Lewis County Auditor imprest account will be dissolved and the $40,000, plus unclaimed property, contained in this fund will be returned for deposit with the Lewis County Treasurer's Office.
