WHEREAS, numerous County Campus buildings utilize floor mats to maintain a safe operating environment while mitigating wear and tear to building floors and finishes; and

WHEREAS, said floor mats require regular service to ensure a clean and functional building as well as safe operating conditions for building occupants; and

WHEREAS, Lewis County Facilities has solicited bids from floor mat servicing vendors to conduct and oversee mat servicing duties in county campus buildings; and

WHEREAS, UniFirst has submitted a bid to provide these services; and

WHEREAS, after meeting with and talking with UniFirst, the Facilities Department believes UniFirst is the most qualified outfit to perform said services for the quoted price given.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED a contract for floor mat cleaning services be awarded to UniFirst; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Facilities Administrator be authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners.
