Summary:

Call for Bids to rehabilitate the taxiway at the Ed Carlson Memorial Field- South Lewis County Airport.

The contract associated with this Invitation for Bids includes: reconstruction of the parallel taxiway, new taxiway edge lighting, new guidance sign, replacing an existing SAVASI with PAPI, and new REIL's. Costs associated with this work are reimbursable due to financial assistance from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Washington State Department of Transportation (DOT) Aviation Division.

Sealed bids shall be submitted to the Clerk of the Board of Lewis County Commissioners (351 N.W. North Street, Room 210, Chehalis, Washington 98532), by or before 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, and will be opened on or after 11:00 a.m. on February 25, 2020. Bids submitted after 11:00 a.m. will not be considered for this project.

Resolution

WHEREAS, Lewis County is the sole owner and operator of the Ed Carlson Memorial Field-South Lewis County Airport; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 16-248, Lewis County accepted the Master Plan update; and

WHEREAS, Lewis County intends to improve the taxiway with financial assistance from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Washington State Department of Transportation (DOT) Aviation Division; and

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to issue an invitation for bids related to the taxiway improvement at the Ed Carlson Memorial Field-South Lewis County Airport.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Lewis County Public Works Department is instructed to issue an invitation for Bids and Contract Specification for the South Lewis County Airport (TDO) 2020 Taxiway Improvement Project at the South Lewis County Airport A.I.P. No 3-53-0078-009-2017. Bids for this project shall be submitted to the Clerk of the Board of Lewis County Commissioners (351 N.W. North Street, Room 210, Chehalis, Washington 98532) by or before 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, and will be opened on or after 11:00 a.m. on February 25, 2020.
